RecordingManager.record API's behavior

Hi All,

I'm finding it strange that "sometimes" RecordingManager.record API is giving the RecordingChangedEvent callback before the API actually returns (with change "ENTRY_ADDED"). But it is not always so and hence not consistant. Sometimes I'm getting the callback after the API returns.

Is this the expected behaviour? I'm not finding anything specific about this in spec..

Mapping MPEG to the tune

Hi,

I am new to this forum and the OCAP development. started to work with sample tune test application. have placed the config file and the host prop files in the appropriate locations, while running i could see the mpeg stream on program 1& 2. Tune get failed in program 3&4.
i have changed the mpeg video file in the platform.cfg file for program 1&2 for their respective frequency,but it is not reflecting in the tune test application.

Could you please any one help me to sort out this problem

* how to map the static video mpeg file with the frequecy OCAP specification (ocap locator) ?

We're grateful to Luxoft (luxoft.com), an OCAP/EBIF developer based in Russia, for allowing us to repost several tutorials (including code), with links to download the source code for each.

Deploying application Using HITS AxIS

Hi,

I would like to have more information about how to deploy an EBIF application.
I noticed that TVWorks provides ETV Streamer to work as a server, I would like to know if there's just this server or are there some kind of standard?
Do you have any information about HITS AxIS? I heard that developers could easly deploy applications, but I couldn't find anywhere to register.

Developing skype-like video chat

I want to build a video chat application, like the one Skype demonstrated this year in CES.
Is it possible to build it using OPAC-RI? Are there any dependencies on cable companies?
What's the preferable SDK and IDE to use for this purpose?

Yes, those are many basic questions, but this is a newbie forum...

de-link channel up/ channel down keys from an ocap application

Hi,

I wrote an application with just one component a HTextButton.

The channel up / down keys get locked as soon as i do a requestFocus() on that button.

Tried using UserEventListener and added only Nav keys + enter key. This was tested on the ADB 7822C developer STB
.
Has anyone faced this issue.....???

4 bit images on legacy

Trouble getting 4 bit images to look decent on the legacy STBs. Are there standards or guidelines in existence? Any tips out there?
