About OEDN
Founded in 2007, the mission of the OCAP/EBIF Developer Network (OEDN) community is to drive awareness of and application development efforts using the two primary interactive cable television open standards for middleware: OCAP (known to consumers as tru2way) and EBIF. Through its developer network website, oedn.net and via other well-known social networks such as LinkedIn and Facebook, OEDN aims to broadly socialize the advantages of developing interactive apps for digital cable, and to bring a new generation of software development talent to the cable industry.

Bill Warga is the VP of technology for Liberty Global. Bill’s responsibilities primarily include research of new technologies as they pertain to LGI’s core strategies. Bill has over 30 years experience in broadcast, cable and standards technologies with a emphasis on digital video.
OEDN Team:
Will Kreth is the Sr. Director of Advanced Video Strategy for Time Warner Cable and founder of OEDN. Will has more than 20 years of experience in the broadcast media, broadband, publishing, PC and cable industries with previous employment at Road Runner, Prodigy, HotWired, Wired, Apple and PF. Magic - where in 1991, he first worked worked on interactive TV applications for the Philips' CD-i platform.
Erin Flood is the OEDN community manager, a digital media consultant and actively develops and produces short format entertainment series. Previously she was Director of Development & Style Programming at Next New Networks, Project Manager at NBC Universal’s Digital Studios, and Senior Manager of Production at AFI's Digital Content Lab (formerly known as the Enhanced Television Workshop), where she developed new programming, products and services for existing and next-generation cable, satellite, broadband and wireless platforms.
Andrew Kelly is President & CEO of Cognisync, Inc., the company responsible for the OEDN website. Cognisync is a technology community solution provider, offering open source infrastructure and community support and facilitation services. Andrew founded Cognisync two years ago after working for several years in the collaborative software development arena, supporting sites such as Sun’s Java.net, Intel’s Tianocore.org and BEA’s Dev2Dev. He resides in Palm Harbor, Florida.
Frank Nikola is Vice President of Client Operations for Cognisync, Inc. and the chief architect of the OEDN infrastructure. Prior to joining Cognisync, Frank managed software development teams at Programmer’s Paradise and Spectrum Technologies. Frank has a deep background in structured software development with a long tenure at Electronic Data Systems (EDS). He resides in Spring Lake, NJ.
